Motion-Tracked Property Callout: A Real Estate Animation Project

Project Overview

I created an animated property callout that seamlessly tracks with drone footage to highlight a newly listed real estate development. Using motion tracking in After Effects, I ensured the callout stays perfectly aligned with the property, making it a powerful tool for real estate agents, developers, and marketers looking to elevate their listing presentations.

What I Learned

While working on this, I explored two motion-tracking techniques in Adobe After Effects:

  • Built-in Tracking Tool – A quick and effective way to anchor graphics to moving objects.
  • Mocha AE – A more advanced tool for precise and complex tracking.

I also learned how to:

  • Use null objects to control motion-tracked layers.
  • Parent the property callout composition to the null object for smooth tracking.
